the Four-door finally mine!

bigger fridge means easier to organize?

This is the four-door Hitachi fridge which i bought yesterday. i've been dreaming of using this type of fridge since ages ago and now Alhamdulillah thanks to Allah its finally mine! i dont know, eventhough i live alone, i still have problems with my old two-door LG fridge i mean in term of its storage capacity. still not enough for me and i need a bigger one (the problem is i like to buy foods without any purposes or reasons).

i like to see my foods in neat proper order and i hate it when i open the door and eggs falling out from nowhere.. its really too much!

i've been surveying on fridges since a couple of months ago and i was keen on Samsung's double french doors fridges but this not-so-latest model by Hitachi has bowled me over! finally i made up my mind to chose Hitachi based on its size, design and i think this is one of the best refrigerators as compared to all other refrigerators in it class available in the market. I like the cooling factor that helps you in saving of electricity and also your money and its water dispenser is conveniently integrated in the front door area anytime time that u need it..

sold my two-door LG fridge to my friend for only Rm300

Somehow, somewhere i’ve come to the conclusion that no matter how big the fridge may be, there’s will be never enough storage space. i might be thinking of buying a bigger and more doors fridge in the future..  woooooo

Raya 2012 - Part 1

Assalamualaikum and happy fasting to everybody...

how time flies, its already 20th of Ramadhan now and thats mean we are nearing to the month of Syawal and to the end of Ramadan al mubarak soon... and yes this is the 5th year im going to celebrate the Eid away from my family ;-( ... its sad and of course it is difficult to be away from our love ones especially when my mum is not really well (mum was diagnosed of early cataract and had cataract surgery last Jun... even thought the surgery went well, its take some times for elder people like her to fully recovered). Hope you will get well soon Ma..Amin

many asked me why im not coming home for Raya...i just dont know... sometimes i feel like im belong here.this is the place that i should be. i feel happy here. i have everything that i wanted here and thats why im happy to be here... but of course i miss my family, my friends... i miss home cooking especially my mum's signature rendang campur minang (mixture of a spicy meat, liver, lung etc  dish) kuah lodeh (coconut vegetable stew) and having good times with my relatives and friends.i still remember we used to send each other kad raya back then during my childhood...this practice had become our routine during/before Hari Raya. it was so much fun when you received a musical card instead of the ordinary raya card (bangga gitu).but now i dont even got one.people tend to send electronic cards via facebook or sms (much more cheeper and fast). and one thing i cannot forget how fun it was to play the firecrackers and fireworks during the nights before hari raya..

by the way, since im not going home this year i'll be celebrating the Eid at my student's place in Paris (dont be surprised we also have a place named Paris here in Kinabatangan). Wawan to be exact (he's more to my brother actually we have been so close since last year that we have treat each other just like brothers).his family also being nice to me. they treat me just like their family even thought im a stranger. i feel comfortable there just like being at home. im going to stay there for a couple of days.and for this year we have decided to chose to wear the same colour for our baju melayu.. guess what colour it is? hehe will upload and post it later..

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri especially to my beloved family members back there in Gombak (Mama, Abah, Along, Angah, Yanti, Nora, Ayin and all my nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law .sorry i cannot celebrate Raya there with you guys again this year), my beloved relatives, all my friends (especially my good friends who are always there for me!), neighbours, colleagues, students and all muslims around the world. I also would like to apologize for anything that I have said and done that might have offended any of you. Assalamualaikum dan salam sejahtera. 1st of all selamat menyambut bulan ramadhan al mubarak bagi mereka yg beragama Islam. hopefully thn ini kita mendapat barakah dan kurniaNya.. Amin.. make sure puasa cukup 30 hari...

lama rasanya tak update blog ni. nothing special yang nak dikongsi sebenarnya.. cuma baru2 ni 15 Julai  saya berkesempatan berjumpa dan bergambar dengan salah seorang idola saya.. mayb ada yang dah tak kenal dengan jejaka berkaca mata berambut pendek dan berjanggut ini sebab imej sekarang dan dahalu sangat jauh berbeza. inilah dinamakan penghijraan.suatu yang dituntut..berubah ke arah kebaikan.. walaupun cuma sempat bersua sekitar sejam saya boleh rumuskan beliau seorang yang merendah diri, peramah dan kaya dengan senyuman (petua untuk kelihatan sentiasa muda bilangnya..hehe)

actually beliau datang ke sandakan atas urusan mengadakan ceramah agama but unfortunately saya tidak berkesempatan untuk mengikutinya akibat tersalah tempat. dapat maklumat bahawa beliau akan mengadakan ceramah di masjid daerah sandakan tetapi sebenarnya beliau mengadakan ceramah di dewan masyarakat sandakan. jd.melepaslah saya ;-(

well, kalau dah kata darah photographer tu mengalir dalam badan ke mana saja beliau pergi pasti takkan lekang dari cameranya. sempat juga beliau memberi tips2 dan nasihat2 berkenaan photography. bilangnya beliau lebih berminat utk mengambil gambar2 pemandangan dan alam ciptaan Tuhan.. jd senang saja lah tak perlu cari model2.hehe so kami outing sekitar pasar besar sandakan...

Burger Bakar Abang Burn

you must be crazy!

Actually it happened when I dropped by at my sis's house yesterday evening to take some 'mangga apple muda' and she asked me whether I have tried the Burger Bakar or not? I said not yet and of course curiosity got hold of me and I decided I got to try this giant burger to see how's the taste like. So we decided to go to the Ampang and luckily us the queue was not as long as the one at Wangsa Maju..

When we arrived, I was looking for Kaw Kaw because I saw it in Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan. I am not sure why it is called Abang Burn instead..

I looked around at the staff. No one seems to be slacking around. It is very well organized. Two chefs were barbecuing the meat patties and deep frying the chicken patties. It looks like a factory line where around two staffs were diligently toasting the bread, arranging the cooked patties on them, putting the sauce and packing.

They were all wearing gloves, so hygiene was the least of anyone’s concern. I looked curiously at their raw patties. They are definitely home made, perhaps it is going to be worth every ringgit that I am going to pay I think...

so we placed our order and dont have to wait long..

Now to the burgers. They are good and value for money, (for the period). Flame grilled burgers tends to be more juicier. Besides, the marinade used in Burger Bakar must be something special. Both me and my brother-in-law could taste a hint of fresh black pepper and herbs in the meat patty with generous serving of chili sauce, mixed greens, mayonaise in between 2 burger buns.

The burger was fabulously delicious. It wasnt too dry or too wet. Its definitely worth a second trip. Thumbs up to the owner and founder of Burger Bakar Kaw Kaw and Abang Burn. You have created another milestone in our Malaysian street food fare. Im sure  going back for more..

im in KK!

Assalamuaikum..

don't know where to start.. yes I'm in KK right now.. attending a course here.. nothing much special about this course to write.. but I'm more interested to write about my room.. I'm staying at Best Western Kinabalu Daya Hotel. The best thing about this hotel is that is centrally located, a few minutes from the KK seafront, and a walking distance to several shop malls like the Centre Point, Wisma Merdeka and the Suria Sabah, banks, and Kampung Air night market. It is easy to get around in the city 

For me the room size for two person is good, might be a bit cramped for more than that at the same time. The room is clean. I would say that the double bed room is larger than the one big bed room (where a friend of mine is staying) the only problem is there is no window in my room.

I was expecting basic but clean accommodation ;-)

so tonight I'm going to Upperstar Pepper Grill and Bar (opposite to Burger King at the Segama Commercial Centre) with my BFF Leri Alfred to fulfill my appetite with my all fav lamb chop. its a must there! it a great place to hang out too. Especially for teens (like me..huahuahua)!

This place has a good range of western and Asian foods.. you name it they have it. There aren't too many places in KK that will have cheap good foods but Upperstar seems to make it quite cheap. go and try it yourself!

Oh God..Allahuakbar! It's been over nine months since my last post and im so bad at this blogging thing! seriously i feel so awkward!

well, i have been a bit slack with updating, been busy with these and that..but this honour is officially the motivation i need to update my blog more often. i probably have lots of new readers by now and i can't let them down!

So before the next post i just want to take the time to say sorry for not saying 'Hi' more often and telling you what im up to these days. sorry again for not asking how are you how do you do.. sorry for not socializing more with you. Yup, i really missed you guys.. really missed the moments.. if only i could turn back time.. life never be the same again..

Well some update of myself..what am I listening to right now?  keep on repeating Stop and Stare by One Republic. i don't know why...maybe its just me.the lyrics..so deep.. every time i hear this song i feel like crying... ;-(
